The Diary Game: My Friday Story (5/12/2025)

I hope you're all doing wonderfully. Today, I am thrilled to share a delightful experiences of my Friday. It was one of those days that started slowly but still turned out beautiful.

MY FRIDAY STORY

I kicked off my morning on a lazy note, not managing to rise until around 9am. I had been up late finishing my school assignments, waking up briefly at 3am to work on them before dozing back until 5am, so getting up was a real challenge. After finally waking, I took a few moments to gather my energy, said my prayers, and then got up to startmy day.

The house was eerily quiet my mom and son were at church, and my husband was already off to work leaving me to enjoy some solitude. I did a few chores, freshened up, and then headed out with a friend to Tropicana Mall for some grocery shopping. The shopping didn’t take long since our list wasn't much so we were in and out in no time. Afterwards I followed her to pick up her repaired laptop from a gadget store. We made sure everything was working perfectly by testing a few apps before we left.

Next, we hit the market to buy okro, as I was planning to make soup the following day. By the time I returned home, I was exhausted and really hungry since I hadn’t eaten anything before heading out. Thankfully, there were some leftover beans in the fridge, so I quickly fried some plantains to enjoy alongside them. That first bite was pure bliss!

Later in the evening, after making dinner, my husband and I decided to step out for some fresh air. We stumbled upon a bole and fish stand that we simply couldn't resist. We bought some, settled down together, and savored it with chilled bottles of malt. After our meal, we enjoyed a lovely conversation before heading home. I took a quick shower and slipped into bed, feeling relaxed, content, and grateful for the simple pleasures of the day. 😌
