The Diary Game [09/05/2026] // Weekend Hustle and Evening Football Drama.
Hi guys, accept warm Steem greetings from the motherland of Cameroon, and welcome to my blog, where I'm gonna share my lifestyle content with you.
Today unfolded like one of those weekends that begin at full speed and never really slow down. I woke up with purpose and immediately dived into curating on Steemit. The quiet morning hours felt productive, and I enjoyed going through posts, supporting quality content, and engaging with the community. It always gives me a sense of fulfilment knowing that even the smallest interactions can encourage someone out there. Starting my day that way instantly placed me in high gear.

Not long after, reality called me away from my screen and into their bustling atmosphere of the local market. I needed to buy eggs, tomatoes, and several other ingredients and foodstuffs for the week ahead. These days, however, I no longer buy such items in bulk like I used to. The unstable weather combined with the frequent power outages has made food preservation more difficult and risky. It is frustrating to see groceries spoil because of unexpected blackouts, so I now prefer buying only what is necessary for a shorter period.

The market itself was lively as usual, with traders calling out prices and customers bargaining from one stall to another. Despite the crowd and noise, I hurried through my shopping because my children had not yet had breakfast, and that thought kept pushing me to move faster. After gathering everything I needed, I quickly made my way back home, eager to settle into the next responsibility waiting for me.
Immediately I arrived home, I headed straight to the kitchen without wasting any time. The kids were already hungry, so preparing breakfast became my top priority. Thankfully, I managed to put something together quickly enough to satisfy them. There is always a special joy in watching children eat happily after complaining about hunger just moments earlier. Their smiles alone can erase exhaustion.
Once breakfast was done, I moved directly into preparing lunch. On the menu was fried cabbage with pork and boiled potatoes, a meal everyone enjoys. Fortunately for me, most of the ingredients had already been washed, sliced, seasoned, and refrigerated earlier, which made the cooking process much easier and faster. As the aroma of the pork and cabbage filled the kitchen, the house suddenly felt warmer and more alive. Cooking can sometimes feel stressful, but today it felt smooth and rewarding because I was already organised ahead of time.

By the time lunch was ready, I felt physically drained but satisfied with everything I had accomplished. I served everyone their food and finally took a moment for myself. After cleaning up, I went for a bath and prepared to rest. Weekends are rarely relaxing for me because they are usually packed with responsibilities from morning to evening. Still, my health journey has taught me a very valuable lesson that rest is not a luxury but a necessity. No matter how busy life becomes, the body eventually demands balance, and ignoring that truth only creates more problems later.
The evening arrived quietly, and I resumed my curation activities using a community account. After completing that task, I settled down to watch the football match between Manchester City and Brentford F.C. From the very beginning, City completely dominated the game and controlled the pace throughout the entire 90 minutes. In the end, the match finished 3:0 in favour of Manchester City. Even though the scoreline looked exciting, the game itself felt rather predictable and boring because Brentford barely posed any serious challenge.
After such a long and demanding day, I honestly could not wait to crawl into bed. It had been another busy weekend filled with responsibilities, routines, and moments of quiet reflection. As I prepare to rest and recharge for another week ahead, I remain grateful for strength, family, and the little victories that make everyday life meaningful. Until my next diary session, remain ever blessed.
