The Diary Game [13/06/2026] // The Little Moments That Made My Day.
Hi guys, accept greetings from the motherland of Cameroon and welcome back to my blog, where I share my daily lifestyle experiences with you all.
The past few days have tested my patience and resilience. Work has been incredibly demanding, with countless tasks needing attention and deadlines looming over my head. To make matters worse, the frequent power outages have made everything even more challenging. These days, the electricity company seems to be in complete disarray. The most frustrating part is the lack of communication. We are often left in the dark with no information about when power will be restored or what exactly is causing the interruptions.
Despite the exhausting week, the weekend arrived with its own set of responsibilities. The day began with heavy rainfall, which is expected during this rainy season. The sound of raindrops hitting the roof was soothing, but unfortunately, it did not excuse me from my duties. The kitchen cupboards needed replenishing, so I had no choice but to brave the weather and head to the market.
Armed with my shopping bag and determination, I made my way through the muddy streets. The market was bustling as usual despite the rain. Vendors shouted out their prices while buyers hurried from one stall to another, trying to complete their shopping before another downpour.

My first mission was to buy ingredients for baking muffins for my children. They absolutely love homemade snacks, and I enjoy preparing treats for them whenever I can. I purchased flour, sugar, and baking powder, carefully checking the quality before making my selections. I was already imagining the delicious aroma of freshly baked muffins filling the house later in the week.

Next on my list was fresh fish for lunch. However, I was shocked when I reached the fish section. The prices had skyrocketed and I stood there for a moment staring at the display, wondering how fish had suddenly become so expensive. Like many other shoppers, I had to rethink my plans and look for more affordable alternatives. It is becoming increasingly difficult to manage household expenses as the cost of living continues to rise.

Just as I was about to leave the market, something wonderful caught my attention. A group of physically impaired individuals had gathered near one of the entrances. They were singing, dancing, and entertaining everyone around them. Their energy was infectious, and their joy radiated throughout the market. Shoppers paused to watch, smile, and even dance along.

I found myself completely captivated by their performance. Their talent was extraordinary, but what impressed me most was their confidence and positivity. Despite the challenges they may face, they were spreading happiness and reminding everyone around them to appreciate life's blessings. For a few precious moments, I forgot about work stress, power cuts, rising prices, and all the other worries occupying my mind. I simply enjoyed the music and admired their remarkable spirit.
Unfortunately, time was not on my side. I still had lunch to prepare and children waiting at home. Reluctantly, I continued my shopping and hurried back.
Once home, I immediately got to work in the kitchen. I prepared a delicious pot of fried rice for lunch. The aroma quickly filled the house, drawing everyone to the dining table. Seeing my children eat happily and hearing their laughter made all the effort worthwhile. We enjoyed a satisfying meal together, and I felt grateful that everyone was well-fed.

As the evening approached, I turned my attention to my final task of the day. I spent some time curating with SC08 and carefully filling out the required data on the Google Sheet. Although I was tired, I felt a sense of accomplishment as I completed the work.
By the end of the day, exhaustion had settled in, but so had satisfaction. Despite the rain, market challenges, expensive fish, and the ongoing electricity problems, the day had its beautiful moments. The inspiring performers, a successful shopping trip, a hearty family meal, and completed work made the day meaningful. With gratitude in my heart, I closed my laptop, prepared for bed, and called it a day. Until my next diary guys, it is goodnight from my end.
