The Diary Game [23/05/2026] // Weekend Adventures Around Town.

Hi guys, accept warm Steem greetings from the motherland of Cameroon, and welcome to my blog, where I'm gonna share my lifestyle content with you.

This weekend turned out to be one of the busiest yet most productive days I have had in a while. I woke up early in the morning feeling determined to complete all the errands I had planned for the day. The weather was calm but hot, and the atmosphere in town was already lively as people moved around, preparing for their own activities. I quickly got myself ready and headed to town, knowing very well that I had a long day ahead of me.

Heading to town to run some errands.

As I was running errands, my husband called and asked me to buy pork on my way back home. He carefully directed me to a local vendor who is known for selling good and fresh pork. Since I was not very familiar with the exact spot, I had to ask a few people around for directions before finally locating the place. The market was crowded with buyers and sellers calling out to customers, creating the usual busy atmosphere that makes local markets so energetic. Luckily, I was able to get the pork meat without much stress, and I felt relieved crossing that off my list.

After buying the pork, I went to another local market to look for fresh peanuts. This is the season for fresh peanuts, and honestly, I always look forward to this time of the year because I enjoy them so much. The sight of freshly harvested peanuts displayed in baskets made me excited. However, I noticed that the prices were quite expensive compared to previous seasons. Even though the cost was high, I still bought some because I simply could not resist. Sometimes it is okay to enjoy the little things that make us happy despite the rising prices.

While still in the market, I also bought some mangoes. Unfortunately, they were not as fresh and sweet-looking as the ones I usually harvest from home. The mangoes from my compound always taste better because they are naturally ripened and freshly picked straight from the tree. Still, I decided to buy a few just to have some fruit at home. It reminded me once again that nothing truly compares to homegrown produce.

Not long after, my husband came to pick me up from town. I was already tired from moving around the whole day, so I was grateful to finally sit down and relax during the ride. Before heading home, we passed by a construction store to pay for bricks that would later be transported to the construction site. It felt good seeing progress being made little by little on the project, even though construction work can sometimes be stressful and expensive.

When we finally got home, I immediately went into the kitchen to prepare lunch. I cooked huckleberries with fufu, a meal that everyone at home enjoys. Despite how tired I was, cooking still gave me a sense of comfort because there is always joy in preparing food for the family. After eating and resting briefly, I still had another responsibility waiting for me.

Later in the afternoon, I went to meet my mother-in-law so we could clean up the house in preparation for my father-in-law’s return from the state. There was a lot to arrange and clean, but we worked together and managed to put everything in order before evening. Although I was physically exhausted by the end of the day, I felt deeply satisfied because I had accomplished everything I planned to do.

Indeed, it was a fully charged day filled with movement, responsibilities, and family duties. Even with all the stress and tiredness, I was happy that I met my expectations for the day and handled everything successfully. Days like this remind me how important family, hard work, and determination are in everyday life.

Until my next diary, guys, I wish everyone a wonderful and exciting weekend ahead.
