The Diary Game [30/05/2026] // Weekend Chronicles.
Hi guys, accept warm greetings from the motherland of Cameroon and welcome back to my blog, where I share my daily lifestyle experiences with you all. I hope everyone is doing well and having a wonderful time. Today, I would like to share how I spent my weekend with my family.
As usual, weekends are very important to me because they give me the opportunity to take care of household responsibilities, spend quality time with my family, and prepare meals for the week ahead. This particular weekend was no different.
I woke up early in the morning feeling energetic and ready to begin the day's activities. After getting myself prepared, I made a quick trip to the local market to purchase food groceries for the family. The market was already busy with vendors arranging their goods and customers moving from one stall to another in search of the best products. I enjoy visiting the market because it allows me to interact with different people and support local businesses.

My shopping list contained several essential items, but the most important things I needed were proteins for the family meals. I first stopped at a vendor's counter where I purchased fresh beef and eggs. These are staple ingredients in our home and are always useful for preparing nutritious meals. The vendor was friendly, and I was pleased with the quality of the products.

After purchasing the beef and eggs, I continued through the market in search of slippers for my children. I visited a vendor who displayed a variety of footwear. Unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed because most of the slippers available were old-fashioned and did not match the style I was hoping to buy for my kids. Although there were many options, none of them truly caught my attention. Nevertheless, I took my time to browse before deciding to move on and continue with my shopping.

My next stop was another counter where I bought garri, which was needed for our lunch preparation. Garri is one of our favorite staple foods, and I knew it would pair perfectly with the meal I planned to cook later in the day. Once I had purchased everything on my list, I felt satisfied knowing that the family had all the necessities we needed.

With all my shopping completed, I hired a bike and returned home. The weather was already becoming quite warm, and I was eager to start preparing lunch. Upon arriving home, I organized the groceries and immediately got to work in the kitchen. For lunch, I prepared a delicious pot of eru accompanied by garri. Cooking is something I genuinely enjoy because it allows me to provide for my family and bring everyone together around the dining table.
When the meal was ready, the family gathered to eat. We enjoyed the food together, sharing conversations and laughter. Moments like these remind me of the importance of family and the joy that comes from spending time with loved ones.

After lunch, the temperature became quite high, making the afternoon feel very hot and uncomfortable. To cool down, I took a refreshing cold bath. It was exactly what I needed after the busy morning and the time spent cooking in the kitchen. The cold water helped me relax and regain my energy.
Later in the afternoon, I spent some quiet time with the children. We rested together and eventually took a nap. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind after a productive day. Before I knew it, the evening had arrived, and the day was coming to an end.
Overall, it was a simple but fulfilling weekend filled with family responsibilities, shopping, cooking, and relaxation. These ordinary moments are often the most meaningful because they strengthen family bonds and create lasting memories.
Until my next diary, guys, thank you for stopping by my blog. It is good night from my end, and I wish you all a peaceful and wonderful week ahead.
