This Generation Needs Women Who Act and not Sit Back and Clap.

Hi guys, accept steem greetings from the motherland, Cameroon, and welcome to my blog where I share another uplifting and motivational message for women on the rise.

I was inspired to write this after a recent conversation with a woman I have come to know through my husband. Every time I called her, the pattern was often the same of frustration, complaints, and a sense of helplessness. She would talk about how she stays at home while her husband works, how unsupported she feels, and how her mother-in-law constantly criticises her for “…eating her son’s money.”

I told her this which I think is what every woman needs to rise because …this generation does not need women who just sit back and clap. It needs women who rise up, who take ownership of their lives, and who drive change in their homes, their communities, and beyond.

We are no longer in an era where a woman’s worth is defined by silence, submission, or spectatorship. We are living in a time that requires action. Women today must be intentional about their growth mentally, emotionally, and even financially. Staying at home does not mean staying powerless. Whether a woman chooses to work, build a business, raise a family full-time, or do all of the above, the key is ownership of her time, her voice, and her value.

Women must stop waiting for someone else to validate them, support them, or "allow" them to thrive. It starts with us and it starts with the mindset shift from being victims of circumstance to becoming drivers of change.

We can no longer afford to sit on the sidelines and let society define us. Society needs women who nurture homes and inspire their communities, women who raise strong children while also pursuing their own purpose, women who uphold values like dignity, respect, and hard work not just because others expect it, but because it is what builds strong families and societies.

It is time we stop accepting silence as peace. If a situation feels suffocating, we have to speak up and act. Waiting for a spouse, an in-law, or society to change first will only leave us stagnant. Change begins with courage and courage does not always roar, sometimes, it simply says, “…I will not live like this anymore.”

To every woman feeling stuck, unsupported, or invisible, you are not powerless, you are not just someone’s wife or daughter-in-law, you are You and you have a voice use it. You have value, stand in it and you have dreams, chase them.

This generation of women must be builders of self-worth, of communities, and of legacies. Not just clappers for others, but changemakers in our own right. The world needs more women who are not afraid to say, “…I deserve more,” and then do the work to make it happen with grace, with integrity, and with purpose.

We were not born to be silent shadows rather we were born to shine, to speak, to lead and that time is now.

In sum, this generation of women is being called to more than just support roles. We are being called to lead, to speak up, to take responsibility for our growth, and to shape the future of our families and societies. Whether in the home or in the world, we must refuse to sit back and simply clap for others. Instead, let’s rise, build, and become the changemakers we were born to be. Your voice matters, your actions matter and your growth is not only for you, it is for everyone your life touches. I hope this inspires more women out there and don't forget to share ideas and experiences in the comments section.

This part and piece of articles you wrote Ma'am make us inspired. Staying at home always is not really powerless because even if we are always at home, there are lots of obligations we must do and done. Take caring of our children while doing house chores is not really an easy job and it really needs power to perform the tasks very well.

If we talk about financially, as the elders say Womens are the Light of Family and in the House so doing family budget is not also an easy tasks. We really need to study and estimate in order for us to brought what our Family needs. Financially problem also includes and also affected mentally and emotionally but handle with care about this matter is a must. If we handled it properly, we can perform the tasks very well.

Ma'am you have said it all woman should not be staying and forget themselves in a generation like, this age is different from what our past generation experience, too much discrimination and victimization,I support this move as a young girl,it should be a global warning, let woman be given a space,we need freedom.
I appreciate you ma'am for dropping this article.
Thank you so much

Hi friend
How are you?
Are you available for November curators?

I must celebrate this write up.

Gone are those days where women used to be treated as a second class citizen. There have been lots of revolutions in the women's world, breaking cultural barriers and traditions which prevent the voice of women being heard loud enough.

Now it's in the hands of every woman to rise to fulfill her purpose. In all sectors women are given opportunities to excell.

Our women, please take advantage and don't underestimate your capacity.

Generation that have same role model like our mothers not social media women who spent her time on nothing in social media corrupting their children , it need a serious mother's who are prayerful ,powerful and skillful.
