THE DAILY GAME: 12th July, 2026 A Much Needed Sunday Reset
Today started on a calm note. I woke up early, but I was still feeling really, really tired. Even though my body wanted more sleep, I had to get up and start preparing for church.
Before getting ready, I did my normal morning chores. There wasn’t enough water to wash clothes, so I simply swept the house, tidied up a few things, and got myself ready. I didn’t spend too much time at home because I wanted to get to church on time.
Church service was mainly a Thanksgiving service, and it was really nice. It felt good to be in God’s presence, and the atmosphere was peaceful and refreshing.
When I got back home, I realized just how exhausted I was. I lay down “just for a while,” and that “while” turned into almost five hours of sleep. Honestly, it was the kind of sleep my body had been begging for, and I really needed the rest.
After waking up, I planned to continue working on the assessments I had set for myself, but there was no electricity and my system couldn’t stay on. Since there wasn’t much I could do, I spent some time on my phone, going through a few things while waiting for the power to come back.
Thankfully, the light was eventually restored. I arranged my things in preparation for tomorrow, then I sat down and started working on my assessments. It felt good to end the day on a productive note, even if I couldn’t do as much as I had planned.
Overall, today wasn’t packed with activities or anything exciting. It was just one of those quiet Sundays filled with church, rest, and a little bit of studying a simple but much-needed reset before another new week begins.
