The Diary Game: Going To The Market, Cooking And Weekend Rest (17-01-2026)

Hi steemit folks, how is the weekend treating you all? I am so happy today, no work stress and no preparing anyone for school stress. I woke up and I took my mini bag, put my ATM card inside and went to the market to shop for few items I would need to prepare food.

I went to the market that morning and I guess I was too early to go there. I bought pepper and dried fishes from my customer's place and for garri and others, I bought it somewhere else. After buying the items from my favourite customer's place, I kept the things I bought at her place and went inside the market to see where I could buy few other things that were in the list.

When I went inside, I saw one woman selling clams, I was moved to buy it, I needed protein to add to the food, I took my extra money and bought it, then went inside, bought ice fish and other things, came back to where I kept the items and then I went back to the house.

When I got to the house, I displayed the items I bought from the market and then washed some of them and began to cook. I took the water leaves and began to chop them after washing then I prepared water leaf/melon soup for the day. It will take us throughout the day and even into Sunday.

I finished cooking around 1pm, then I took my bath and went to my husband's shop to help him arrange the clothes he had already ironed so that he will finish on time. Saturdays are always his busy days and he would spend almost 24hours of his time working himself out on Saturdays.

When I came back home, I met my son outside, I don't know where he wanted to go, I think he wanted to go and play outside, so I allowed him and he went. Before he left, I snapped him and then I went and took my nap.

When I finally woke up, I washed the shoes my son will be wearing tomorrow to church and kept it outside for the water to drain. When I finished, I took my bath and also bath my son as it was evening. When we finished bathing, we ate dinner.

My hubby came back around that 8pm, I gave him water to bath and also food to eat. When he finished eating, we played ludo together to ease his stress and then I came to write diary.
