The Diary Game: [16/05/2026] Saturday Chores and Running Errands

‎Dear dairy,I hope the person reading this is doing well and in good spirits.
‎I thought today would be like every other Saturday that has passed but I was wrong. My Saturday started in an unexpected way , although it looked simple as usual the cool morning fresh air was blowing freeze breeze and it made me want to sleep all day thanks to God for my alarm that woke me up at 6:30am. I did my morning devotion as usual for 30min and the time was already 7:00am my parents where in there room while my siblings were outside talking and laughing out loud, I know it must be one of there adults told or business talks. I went to the kitchen to Park all the dirty plates to wash so that I can tidy the place and sweep the kitchen before I sweep the compound,I was still packing the dirty plates when I heard a call ,it was my Dad voice that was calling me I then left what I was doing to go and meet him. I knocked at the door and they told me to come in I meet my Dad inside his room with my mom they were not doing anything just discussing and I also saw my mom smiling I have no idea why she was smiling. I called by again by my pet name (mama) I greeted him and he responded calmly and asked me how my night was,I told him it was fine and he said "that is good". He told me that I should turn the bag of corn in another sack so that I will go and so I took it to a corn grinder machine that was far from my house ,he gave me transport fare tro and fro worth (200naira) ,I boarded a tricycle and it took me to my destination,when I arrived there their was no light so I left the corn their and came back home with the help of a tricycle .

‎I met my customer on the road where she sells her market I often buy snacks like Beans cake, Soya beans ,and fried potatoes there . When I reached her business spot she was frying soya beans cake when and then I stopped by to greet her I couldn't get some for my self because I was not holding any cash on me and besides I was not that expecting I would be sent on an errand that morning instead I just greeted her and wished good market and better sales for more patronage and from the looks on her face I know she was happy that I stopped by to exchange greetings she offered me some Beans cake I was happy she did but I refused to collect it I told her I was full already and she dropped it on a table and she smiled at me.

‎When I got home it was already 9:30am and I met my Dad carpenter he is our family carpenter, He is punctual and competent and always brings out the best in whatsoever he is doing I think that is why the family likes him . Two days ago a heavy breeze came and it was as if it was going to remove the roof off our head it got to a point when I was praying to God to stop the breeze I thought it was going to rain after the heavy breeze but it did not rain that day. My parents called him to check whether the breeze damaged anything that is why he was on top the roof, he checked carefully and found out that one part of the roof was open so he fixed it ,after he was done he got paid and Left.

‎When I entered the kitchen I realized everywhere was sweat and I was happy my sister helped me with the house chores today, told me to go and take my bath and I did so before she brought me some fruits and I was very happy because I have been craving for mangoes and I was not even expecting it too come so some ,that moment made me grateful I found the fruits in a black rubber I also saw two pieces of avocado and she told me not too take those avocado,I thanked her and I obeyed and took only two pieces of Mangos. Every day has a beautiful story to tell stay positive and make the best out of every minute of your life.
