The Diary Game: [13/05/2026] Picking Up My Delivery, and Going

Hello everyone, it's your boy @jebassey on another diary session. I slept early last night, so today I woke very peacefully and energized. My sister had already asked me since yesterday to pick up her delivery from the nearest pick up station. Having that in mind, I had to hurry with my chores this morning so I could finish in time to pick her delivery, and also catch up with my lectures.

Before leaving

‎I didn't have cash on me, so I decided to go on my bike. Well there's a problem with going on bike, because I usually sweat whenever I cycle, and today I was trying to avoid that unnecessary sweating. I was going slowly on the road not until I figured that time was not at my side. I decided to speed up, tho it came with a price. I got there on time, but the sweat was nothing to write home about. When I reached, I saw that there were three other customers that were to be attended to before me, whereas I was thinking I'd just reach there, collect my stuff, then off I go. But it didn't work like that, I had to spare another 15 minutes I didn't plan for. When it finally got to my turn, I gave out my tracker ID and my package was traced to where it was stacked. I got it, made payments, and off I went cus I was already running late.

I delivered the package to my sister just after I reached the house. Before she could even begin thanking me, I hurried to leave for my lectures. Just when I thought I was done with everything, a friend arrived from church asking for an important document of which I had forgotten where I kept. At that point I was more concerned with finding the document than catching up with the lectures, because it would have brought more problems and questioning if I didn't find it. With luck by my side, I finally uncovered it in my senior brother's locker after barely spending 10mins to search for it. I did a clean handing over then made my way down to school.

‎I was about 20 minutes late for lectures when I arrived at school, but to my greatest surprise, the lecturer didn't even come around yet. So I had a little time to settle and get myself ready for the class. After waiting 40 minutes extra, we got news from our course representative that the lecture has been scheduled for tomorrow. It was both a good news and a bad news. It was a good news such that I would have time to rest and prep myself for lab work, and a bad news because I wouldn't have rushed that much to catch up with the class, and maybe I would have used that time to do something personal for myself at home. Well, we're used to situations like that in my institution so it didn't really seem so surprising to us.

Since I was in school already, I didn't want the day to go for a total waste, so I decided to do some stuffs with my project work. I arranged and washed all the washable apparatuses I would use, and autoclaved some of them to maintain a sterile condition. After everything, I packed all of them carefully, washed and disinfected my hands, and retrieved my notes and documents from my course mates.

At the lab

Just when I was about taking my leave, my friend asked if I could join him to his place. I didn't really have any important thing to do or where to go, so I obliged to his offer. We took our stroll to his place. I was literally the one strolling by the way cus he was cycling with my bike. ‎I had already complained of hunger from school, so we decided to get beans on our way from the nearest shop so we could cook and eat.

When we reached his place, he didn't even change up when he started cooking. While waiting on the food to be done I decided to see a movie. At a point the movie wasn't really giving so he suggested we just listened to music. I knew something fishy was gonna come out of that music idea. After a while of several songs playing, he asked if I could dance perfectly with most of our country's styles of dance. I replied positively, and he requested that I show him a few steps. I was not going to do it at first cause its been a while I had anything to do with dance, but slowly he got me into the mood. Anything for fun you know. We danced with moments filled with laughter until our food was ready.

Finally, I was going to overcome my hunger. I ate till my maximum satisfaction, such that we barely could leave the place we sat to eat. It was lovely!

When evening came, I decided to retire home before the night covered. I took out my bike and made my way slowly to the house.

About moving

On reaching the house, I took a cool shower, charged my devices, and rested peacefully. ‎That was it about my day. I hope tomorrow brings good tidings too.
