🦷 Stop Rinsing Your Mouth After Brushing! 😳
There is no need of rinsing your mouth after brushing your teeth
Yes, you read that correctly🤷♂️
Many of us brush our teeth, spit out the toothpaste, then immediately fill our mouth with water and rinse everything away….
It feels clean abi
But when you do that, you may also be washing away a good amount of the fluoride that your toothpaste just left on your teeth.
Incase you don’t know
Fluoride is a mineral that helps strengthen your tooth enamel, making your teeth more resistant to the acids produced by bacteria in your mouth.
It also helps repair the early stages of tooth decay before they become a bigger problem.
Now you just spent two minutes putting fluoride on your teeth, then immediately rinsed it away.
So why did you brush in the first place ?🤷♂️😂
The better approach is to spit out the excess toothpaste and avoid rinsing with water immediately afterward…. Maybe if you really want to rinse do it 5 minutes after brushing
This gives the fluoride more time to remain on your teeth and do its job
Biko I am not saying you should walk around with toothpaste on your mouth ooo 🤷♂️😂😂
And because I said you should not rinse immediately does not mean you should start consuming fluoride in high amount 🤷♂️
Or eating your toothpaste like breakfast oo 😆
