Attending my friend's child dedication service [Sunday 25th January, 2026]

Last Sunday, January 25th, 2026, was a day of joy, love, and celebration as my dear friend, Mr. Christian Etim, and his lovely wife, dedicated their beautiful daughter, Miss EkeminiAbasi Christian Etim, to the Lord at their church, Solid Rock Kingdom Church.

Their church is located just after the Itam flyover, along Ikot Ekpene Road, Uyo, Nigeria. When I arrived, I could feel the excitement and joyfulness in the air. The church was packed with members and guests, all gathered to witness this special moment. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the sound of music from choristers, instrumentalists and the congregation.

I was happy to show up for my friend, Christian and his family. I had known Christian for many years, and to see him and his wife, beaming with joy, as they prepared to dedicate their precious daughter to the Lord, was truly heartwarming.

The dedication ceremony was a beautiful and intimate affair, with three other families also dedicating their children to the Lord. The church was filled with the sound of prayers, hymns, and words of encouragement, as the parents and families of the children being dedicated, committed to raising them in the ways of the Lord.

As I watched Christian and his wife, hold their daughter, EkeminiAbasi, in their arms, and promise to teach her the ways of the Lord, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and reverence. It was a moment of great significance, not just for Christian and his family, but for the entire church community.

As the ceremony came to a close, the church erupted in a joyful celebration, with music, dancing, and feasting. It was a truly unforgettable experience, and one that I will always treasure. As I congratulated Christian and his family, I felt grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this special moment in their lives. I then took some group pictures with them and my wife which serves as a reminder of the importance of community, family, and faith, and the joy that comes from celebrating these values together before we dismissed.
