The Diary Game: A Sunday Well Spent (04-01-2026)

Happy First Sunday of the year. It was so amazing to be in the presence of God yesterday. I felt so delightful since I got out of bed. First, I woke up early to go to church for cleanup. Usually, members of the church, mostly women come to church very early clean and arrange the church for service. Yesterday, a lot of people turned up for the cleaning. It was really impressive. After the clean up, I went back home to prepare breakfast. I made fried plantain and egg sauce for breakfast. My daughter had already peeled the plantain, so I just went ahead to fry it.

After making breakfast, I served and went in to take my bath. My kids were already prepared for service. After having my bath and breakfast, I got dressed. I got a new uniform from my seamstress yesterday. It suit perfectly well. My husband kept admiring my dress. We got dressed and headed all out for church.

We got to church, few minutes before service begun. Today's service was lit. From the choir's ministration to the sermon to the prayer declaration. Everything was so good. Everywhere was very joyful. People got into the best dresses. There were a lot of people in church, even members the I haven't seen for a while. In a way to appreciate God, some persons made donation for the ongoing church project.

After service, we stayed back for meeting. The meeting was brief but impact. My children were waiting for me and we all headed home together. After having lunch, I went to the salon to restyle my hair. We'll be resuming work tomorrow, so I have to look my best. The stylist was already working on someone else's hair, I had to sit and wait for her. I past only an hour at the salon. From the salon, I went to the pick up my dress from the tailor's shop. I met my friend on my way home.

My children were already taking their nap, by the time I got home. I took my shower and rested. Later in the evening, I went to the pharmacy close to my house to get medications for my kids. School will be resuming tomorrow and I don't want them falling sick in the middle of the term. I made sure they had their deworming medications.

They took their meds after having dinner. Together we arranged their books and school items for resumption. I ironed their uniform as well as my dress. We all went to bed early. Thank you and have a blessed day.
