The Diary Game: Going To The Market And Preparing Food For My Family During The Weekend (06-12-2025)

Hello my wonderful steemit family. It's @mamauduak here again and today, I will be sharing by weekend experience with you. How are you doing? Hope you had a stress-free weekend. My weekend started with going to the market. I woke up before 6am because I needed to meet with the early morning sellers. I wanted to make about two dishes today. I took a bike directly to the market.

At the market

I got Afang, waterleaf, oyster and other items. These were the major things that too me to the market. I also got new clothes for my girls. I met few people that I knew at the market, and as an African Woman, I stood and exchange pleasantries with them. When I got home, I began making preparation for my soup. I started with the oyster.

After washing it thoroughly, I steamed it. With my children's help, I cut and washed the waterleaf and afang. I went ahead to prepare the oyster soup. My daughter was already roaming around the corridor anticipating the meal. In less than thirty minutes, the food was ready. I served everyone but while they were eating, I was still in kitchen preparing the next soup.

Later in the evening, I went to church for rehearsal. Tomorrow is our choir director's child's dedication, so rehearsal was longer than usual. I also got the marriage material I paid for. After rehearsal, the young boys were asked to arrange the church and clean up the surrounding.

While I was heading home, I decided to get suya for kids. I also have been craving it for a week now. I also got a pack of Holandia Youghurt. My last child was so excited to see it when I got home.

I love moments when I do little things that gets my children really excited. Coming home with suya was a pleasant surprise to them. That is the joy of mother. Permit me to end my blog here. Thank you for reading.
