The Diary Game: Attending First Sunday Service Of The Year [04/01/2026]

Good day guys and welcome to another episode of my diary session with yours truly. It's a beautiful Sunday here in the city of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. I would love if I could get your audience for a moment so I could share my diary with you.

I went to church this morning, ofcourse, you know it's the first Sunday of the month and ofcourse the year as well. I needed to start the year with God that was why this particular Sunday really mattered to me. I got to church and had my seat while the Sunday School was ongoing. Normally, I thought I was late to church but then, I realized that I wasn't when I got there and I heard the church executives went to the headquarters for solemn assembly and came back by 9am to kickstart the church service for the day.

During the praise session, I was so moved that I dance myself out. Yes, I might not really know how to dance but I will tell you for free that I do shake my body for Christ. Just like in the Bible when David being a king was dancing to God and he received his blessings, I did that and I am so certain I had my own portion of blessings.

After the praise session was the worship session, this was a Solemn moment for me ,I reflected back to how things were with me some years back and how far God has taken me and I was so immersed in the worship that tears started dropping from from my eyes. I was shamelessly worshipping God for His goodness towards me and my family members and I couldn't hold back my Thanksgiving.

After that, the Reverend came in and preached on the topic "Praise, the pathway to God's favour". He brought out some demonstrations from the bible and how God used praises to bless people who engaged in them. It was really an eye opener. After that, we were asked to stand and just use a moment and give God the praise for all he has done and yet again, it was another emotional moment for us all.

When the church service came to an end, I went back home with the consciousness that Praises can actually lift men from a sorrowful state to joyous state. I came back home and then I dished the rice with stew I prepared yesterday and ate. I didn't eat in the morning because today was communion/anointing service. After eating, I had a little shower and I napped.

When I woke up from my nap, I went to go and buy toiletries. My bathing soap had finished and also my tissue paper. I bought them and I came back to the house to drop them. There is a new student I on boarded so I slated that class to be by 4:30pm and then when I called him, we had a very refreshing moment. I introduced him to steemit and the cons of steemit.

After the class, I went inside and charged my phone then I went outside to go and stroll as it was approaching evening time. I strolled for a while and then I returned back home so that I can eat my dinner early. I was advised not to be eating my dinner late again and I have been trying to keep to that lately.

When I came back home, I took my bath and had my dinner before I did a general class with my steemit students that were online as at that time. After that, I came down to my bed so I could share my diary. Till my next diary guys, do well to take care of yourselves and stay safe out there. Much love from me to you all.
