THE DIARY GAMES : 24-11-2025, A Simple & Straightforward Monday At Work

Hello everyone, greetings to you all and welcome to today's edition of THE DIARY GAMES on my blog. Time is 11 o'clock (pm), WAT; and i promise to keep it as brief as brief as possible as I had a really straightforward day as well. So ladies and gentlemen, sit back y'all and enjoy the read....

So today being Monday the 24th of November and the first working day of the week after the weekend, started off quite slowly like I wanted it to, considering the fact I had job commitments yesterday. So due to the emergency call up to work yesterday, the Boss asked us to rest a bit more today and not resume as early as we usually do. So with this little leverage, I could sleep a little bit more. So I woke up by 8:20am which is kinda unusual on a working day, not more so a Monday, slowly got off my bed, took me a bit more time to stabilize physically and mentally, then reached out for my toothbrush and paste so I could brush my mouth and then did a few more chores like the dishes and then cleaning the room. I had no food at home today so there is nothing to worry about as regards food. I already knew I'd have to go to work on an empty stomach today unless a miracle happens. So just like that, after the chores, I went took my bath, got dressed and off I went. I got to the company at exactly 10am since I did of trekking as well just to reduce my transportation cost. On getting there, I met my boss who didn't even complain as he already gave us the go ahead to rest more before coming to work.

Today's schedule was simple, continue from where we stopped which involved spreading stone dust particles on the interlocked surface to fill up voids. So I and some other guys who were around went to the store, signed and got some tools which included two wheel barrows, four rakes and two shovels and proceeded to working immediately. We worked slowly as the portion left wasn't that much. I was in charge of loading the wheel barrow and then next I decided to rake as well. We did this gently and before we could say jack!; it was 12noon; Time for break!!! So we all left for break. I personally was still feeling a bit lethargic so I went and looked for a cool and quiet spot within the company's premise and slept. I slept the whole break period!

By 1:20pm I was up from sleep, about 20mins late since break period usually ends at 1pm dot. Stil on stil, we went back to working and then in no time we were done. By 3pm, the boss sent a supervisor to come tell us we could close for the day. Feeling so excited, I gathered the tools we had earlier signed and collected, took them all back to the store and then I went to the mini stream behind the company where I usually take my bath after the day's work and then had my bath. Surprisingly today, while at the stream, I was being attacked by sun flies that I almost felt like going home to take my bath. I summoned some courage and still took my bath though. By 4:20pm, I was done taking my bath and dressing up and leaving for home. I followed the short cut route to make my journey shorter since I had no money on me for transportation. Luckily though, the moment I burst out at the main road, I met a friend from a previous work place who knows works as a cab man. He asked me to hop in, which I did. Man dropped me off at my bus stop without charging a penny!! Excited, I said thanks to him while thanking God as well. So after alighted from the cab, I went to one of my very good customers whom I have built a really good relationship with over the years, explained my financial situation to her, and she lent me some money.

I took some of that money, bought three cups of beans, some onions and red bell pepper and palm oil. I had salt and some seasoning cubes back at home already. On getting home, I picked the beans, washed it and cooked. After some minutes when the beans had started boiling, I took it off the gas, sieved the water from it and washed until the water ran clear and then continued cooking. After about twenty more minutes, food was ready!! I dished some into a bowl and sat down and ate. After eating to my full, I took my phone charger, went out to look for where to charge my phone. Luckily, one of the houses I am familiar with had put their generator ON and I gave my phone to one of the guys to help me charge. I didn't take long though for the generator to go off and then I collected my phone, said thanks and left for home. On getting home, I spread mosquito net as I always do, wetin inside it and that's it!! So guys, that's just it for today on THE DIARY GAMES!! See you all next time on another episode!! Bye!! 🙂💞
