Celebrating My 1st Steemversary(Steem+Anniversary)//06-10-2025//

Hello everyone, trust you're good? Welcome to @purpleidy23's blog, today I'm celebrating my one year steemversary(steem+anniversary). I recount on a faithful Sunday last year, I went to my friend's @megareigns house and when I got there, we got talking and he later showed me a picture he took of me. I asked what he was going to use the picture for and that's how steemit came into our discussion, he disclosed details about the platform to me and with the help of my mentor @etette I was onboarded on the platform. I began my steemit journey right there, I made my first post on steemit which was introduction post and kept since up since then.

Despite the fact that I was working then a market developer(MD) to Airtel Ng, I still made out time to write my diaries and other post on the platform. At some point , I paused and powered down to be sure that what I ventured into is legit. I powered down two hundred steem on January this year and when I got my first payout, I was so happy and thanked my mentor and friend for introducing me to the platform. I became more consistent than I was and even told my friends about it, I first introduced @kingsley1998 to the platform but after few months of writing he couldn't continue due to reasons best known to him.

I was careful not to introduce another person into the platform who wouldn't contribute to it's growth, as I resumed school I spoke to few of my friends about the platform and a few indicated interest that was how I onboarded my course mate @gracewealth01 and guided on everything she needs to know about @steemit. I also onboarded @bendelta28 and these ones have proven that my waiting wasn't in vain because so far, they've been active and consistent on the platform. I look forward to bringing more dedicated members to the platform.

I've always looked forward to celebrating my first year on Steemit and I couldn't wait for today, since the first day of the month I've been singing of my steemversary to my friend and my mentor and one funny question I was asked is, how many stem power have you been able to build? I looked forward to celebrating my first year with at least two thousand steem power but so far I've only been able to build a thousand steem power but I'm not giving up anytime soon, I know as I keep grinding my account will gain traction again. I woke up today with a special feeling, it's the day I've looked forward to since ages. I did my chores and towards evening, I set out to onboard a new member who happens to be a very good Aunty to me and has taken care of me like a mother, I returned home with some cans of malt to celebrate my steemversary with my friend and mentor.

"I am nothing without Steemit" written at the end of my placard isn't just a mere saying, I recall when I started school and couldn't meet up with my target at work, my systems were retrieved. I cried bitterly and thought of how I'll cope with my school fees, house rent, and other expenses but when I mentioned it to my friend, he advised that I take @steemit as my new job and stay focused and consistent and I obeyed, since then I haven't had any regret. I'll keep doing my best here and hope that one day, light will shine again on my path. Thanks y'all for reading, see you on my next post.
