The dairy game: (19/09/2026) My day was going well until a bad news hit me.

Hello beautiful people, how are you all fearing today?. My day was going well at home untill a call came in from my mum. Before we get into that, let talk about how I woke up to a beautiful Saturday morning and carrying out my chores. I woke up as usual that morning, brush and did abulution for prayer. After saying my prayers, I went straight into the kitchen to get breakfast ready for the kids. As it's Saturday, there's a whole lots of of work down for me.

I made some cooked sweet potatoes and egg sauce for breakfast. I told the kids to go brush and I served them their meal when they were done. While in the kitchen, I washed the sweet potatoes before pealing and cutting them into two parts for cooking. It was a little bit stressful because, potatoes can stain the hands while cutting them. I put them on fire to cook and head on to make the sauce for it. I choose that meal for breakfast because it's so easy to get ready.

I went inside the room from the kitchen, took my phone and called some women to come help me with washing the dirty clothes because they are too plenty . I can't wash them myself alone. I have other things to attend to. Because they told me they could not come this Saturday, till on Sunday. I said ok I will wait.

I packed the clothes down for them. I did the other house chores by sweeping and mopping the house. Went into the kitchen to sweep it also and mop. Makesure it clean and looks tidy. After that, I went inside the room to rest a bit. While relaxing, I was scrolling through my phone. And I saw an interesting short drama that caught my attention.

My partner came back with some fresh tomatoes and proteins, he wasn't at home that morning as he went out. So, he came in during noon. I went into the kitchen to make lunch. I prepared white rice and goatmeat stew for lunch. It was really stressful in the kitchen alone. I had no helping hands at all. Just me alone in the kitchen. As my kids are still little to help out that much. After cooking, I served the kids their lunch and dish mine to eat.

During evening, after I have bathe and said my prayers, I went into the kitchen to rehit the left over food and also eat something. That's when my mum call came in. Telling me that we lost her sister who is my aunt(may Allah be pleased with her.). That news spoiled my already stressful day. I was down and couldn't do anything. She was a mother to us. And I am so close to her. It hurts to think that I won't see her again.
