The Diary Game: Buying Watermelon, Having Storytime With My Neighbour's Kids And Making My Nails After A Long Time(20/02/2026)

There's this popular place where Hausa people occupy close to where I live and they also run their business there, it's called Marina junction. When I passed there this morning to the shop, I noticed that their goods just landed and I had to branch and buy watermelon from them. While bargaining price, a lady walked I'm with a bucket of her head which I perceived the contents were food. The man bought a plate of food from her and even invited me to join him to eat, I thanked him and left with my fruit.

I had this thought that saying just "thank you" to the Hausa man wasn't enough, I should've joined him and atleast eat his meat just to see how reaction but I was far gone from his stall so I had to accept that I've messed up. I got to the shop and opened, did my set up and sat outside to feed my eyes. My neighbor's kids soon joined me and they kept me busy with stories, I was happy to have them around and I used them as my sales girl for the day as they attended to customers on my behalf while I got the pay.

I had planned to close early today so I would go to the salon and make my nails, it's something I haven't done in a while. I had discussed it with my husband and he asked me to manage my time well so I won't miss choir rehearsal for beauty care. When I got to the salon, there were much people to be attended to and I honestly thought of leaving when I walked in but their warmth reception made me want to know if they were fully booked or not and as God would have it, they were available and not fully booked.

I was attended to and in what seemed like a minute, they were done. I made payment and went home to eat, refresh and leave to church for rehearsal, I stopped by my co-members house to call her so we would go to church together. We got to church just when rehearsal was about to kickstart and participated in all activities till we dismissed and I headed back home immediately.

I returned home to an already made dinner by my husband, I joined him in eating, took my bath and asked for a quick massage before I wrote my diary. In the middle of my diary, I almost slept off but I had to get out of bed and walked round the house in order to make my readers happy.
