The Diary Game: Having An Emergency Work In The Morning And Preparing Ekpang Nkukwo(06-12-2025)

I was at home this morning when I was called by one of my apprentice that there was a customer who came around today for hairdo. The problem was she didn't allow any of them to touch her hair, she said I should be the only person to plait her hair. That's one of the issues some customers do have and I totally understand. I rounded up what I was doing and I went and began to plait her.

Plaiting customer's hair

Though she has a virgin hair but hers is very soft and she told me she hasn't applied anything. It was hard for me to believe because anytime I have to plait virgin hair like this, I have to go through hell for it, more reasons I used to charge them very high. Hers was an exemption.

Within 3 - 4 hours, I was done with her hair and she was shocked how fast I was. So she paid me and then I went on to wash the customer that was also waiting for me. I washed her hair and treated it then allowed my apprentice to weave the hair for her while I bought snacks to eat because it was afternoon and since morning, I couldn't eat due to how I was called to come to work.

Since it was Saturday, I didn't want to waste time because as a mother and wife, I had to go back home to look for what my family will eat for the weekend. My kids ate a little breakfast and that wouldn't hold them till afternoon so I went back home after instructing my apprentices of what to do.

I took a shot and was about leaving the shop when a customer came in and said I should fix her nails that she wanted to wear it for Sunday service, I was already late to going back home so I sat and did it before I ran out so that another customer will not come and catch me while I was still at the shop, I won't risk my kids health for that.

When I got back home, everything was intact, all I just needed to do was to start the preparation. I took the pumpkin leaves and began to wash them so that I can chop them. I chopped them and then washed the meat, Periwinkle, and fish and kept them side by side.

After that, I peeled the water yam and then washed it before I grated it. I grated it so that it will be semi sold and that will enable me to cut them into tiny pieces into the pot. At a certain time, I was tired so I rested and the drank energy drink and began the preparation again. My kids were complaining of hunger and I was just so worried, I had to just be very snappy as I could. When I finished that, I dished the food, it was evening so I dished it very plenty so that everybody will eat and be satisfied.

Ekpang Nkukwo is ready

After we all ate, I took the plates and washed them then asked all of them to go and bath because very soon their dad will come back and he wouldn't want to see them dirty. They did so and just like I said, my husband came back and then we had our own bath before I paused by steemit to share how my day was. That's my Saturday's engagements, bye for now.
