Farmers

Good day, Steemit community and platform, today I will be sharing with you all you need to know about farmers 🌾. Hope at the end of the day, you don't regret going through my post 😊.

A farmer is a person who cultivates land, grows crops, and raises livestock for consumption or marketing purposes 🌻.

They tend to their plantation by using various approaches like irrigation, mechanized farming, etc., to ensure a good result 🌟.

We have different types of farmers, which include:

• Subsistence farmers 🌾: These are farmers that grow crops for personal consumption; they may sometimes have a leftover for sales, but this type of farmers is basically for family use 🍚.
• Commercial farmers 📈: These are farmers that grow plants or livestock in a bigger quantity for marketing and profit-making; these types of farmers contribute to the economy of the country 🇳🇬.

Functions of farmers include: Cultivation of crops 🌻, Maintenance of land 🌾, Conserving soil 🌱, Contributing to economy 💸, etc.

Economic importance of farmers includes:

• Food sufficiency 🍚: Farmers make food enough for human consumption; without them, we would be running out of food. They grow the food we eat that keeps us healthy 🥗.
  

• Job creation 👨‍🌾: Farmers create employment opportunities like harvesters, planters, etc.
