The Diary Game: My Saturday Diary—Laundry, Champions League And Daily Survival(30/05/2026)

Greetings to you, I am Emmanuel also known as @smithbillz on Steemit. I woke up very early yesterday because it was Saturday and I had some laundry to do before going to work and also, I had to make use of the rope outside to dry my clothes before it will be occupied by others. I swept the compound before I began to wash and when I finished, I hanged them on the rope to dry. I brushed my mouth and took my bath before I got dressed and went to work.

I got to work and began to clean up the bar and get it ready for business as usual and my boss called out to us and informed us that our breakfast is ready. It was indeed a miracle because we had left the house without eating and had no hope of eating till we return home but that information from our boss made us so happy and energized us to put more effort into our work. I reached out for my own food when I finished and ate, thanked my boss and drank a sachet of water before I relaxed as there no customer to serve at the moment.

In the afternoon, I had some customers in the shop who were eagerly waiting for Champions League finals between Arsenal VS Paris Saint German and they kept arguing on the team that would win. One promised to buy drink for us if his team wins and I low-key prayed for PSG to win so that we will be asked to take drinks which I'll later swap for cash. Luckily, PSG won by penalty and my customer fulfilled his promise and I took a selfie with my drink before swapping it for cash.

Towards evening, hunger struck and I don't know if it was because a mobile food vendor came around but I had to control myself because it would be more better to cook at home than waste a thousand five naira on a portion of food. My guys bought a plate and we all shared it and returned back to work after eating. We ran out of sachet water and I called our supplier and booked for twenty bags which he supplied some hours later.

We closed in the evening and I swept the bar before folding things inside, I didn't want to stress in the afternoon when I'll resume work the next day. I returned home after we closed, cook a small pot of okro soup, ate and took my bath.
