The Diary Game: Playing In An Event To Taking A Well Deserved Rest ||18-12-2025||

Work came and called so I answered this morning as early as I could. I took my bath very early, lest say 4am and then I organized our team members and also called the dancers to wait at our normal waiting point, so that when I left the house, I can pick them up and then go to the venue. When we got to the venue, after like 1 hour drive from our house, I offloaded our instruments then took a selfie.

It was time to show the people of Obot Akara what we are made of, so I set up the band and I was the one to control the band. We gave them melodious songs that they even had to come and dash us money, that was how rugged we were yesterday. It was a traditional wedding ceremony and it all made sense because we came here prepared.

I don't know what happened but all of sudden, it began to rain so, I took the waterproof I came with and covered the instruments we came here with. After that, we took it off when the rain had stopped but it did affected the gathering a little bit because there were lots of water on the floor. Even with that, so many people were still coming for the event and then canopies were filled up.

After the rain, the sun took over again and the intensity of the sun was very high that people were scampering for shelter. When i left the drums to the second drummer, I took the keyboard and we delivered as usual. The good people if Obot Akara were feeling the groove already.

One of the many people I would thank for today's outing was these beautiful dancers that kept the whole crowd entertained from beginning to the end of the event. They did so well and in our next outing, I am definitely going to contract them again.

When the event came to an end, we loaded honour bus and then went back home. It wasn't an easy one but we made sure we maintained premium service. The distance from the event place to our different houses was very far but then, we came back home safe and sound.

When we came back to the house, I went and bought coconut rice and ate because I didn't eat while at the place. So when I finished eating, I stayed with the owner of the restaurant and discussed till I was beginning to feel sleepy then I went back home.

Back home, tired and stressed, I decided to pay my team workers because the organizers just sent the money. I paid everyone including myself and the dancers before I went to the bathroom to bath and finally called it a day.
