The Diary Game: ( 9/05/2026): A normal day at home from laundry to church and then resting

Hello good day everyone, welcome to another episode of how my day went.My name is Edikan, and today was a quiet but good day. It started early and ended with a full stomach and a calm heart and as we all know it's weekend. I woke up around 6:30 a.m. The sun was already up, and I could hear the neighbors sweeping outside. Saturdays are usually busy for me, so I decided to start with laundry first. If I leave it for later, I will be too tired.

I carried my bucket of dirty clothes to my frontage where I do normally sit to wash. Most of them were my work clothes from the solar panel company. They had dust and sweat on them from working outside all week. I filled the bucket with water, added soap, and started scrubbing. Scrubbing is not fun, but I put on some music from my phone to make it better. While I was washing, hunger struck me as usual and I was forced to think about what I'll eat later after laundry . I playfully asked my neighbor what he will have for lunch and he told me he is not taking anything for lunch cause he won't be around and he will be too busy

Washing took me about 45 minutes. The hardest part was my jeans. They are heavy when wet, and my arms got tired. After scrubbing, I rinsed everything well and hung them on the line. The wind was blowing, so I knew they would dry fast. I wiped my hands, took a quick shower, and got ready to prepare what I'll take for lunch before going to church I finally came to agreement to eat soup so I went to the nearest restaurant to get food and after eating I slept off so I could rest before going to church later in the evening

By 4pm., I was dressed in my best shirt and trousers. I walked to church with Pato, my friend who lives down the street. On the way, we talked about football matches which will be happening later today

Meeting at the Church started at 5pm.It was just a brief meeting with the youths of the church. The youth president talked about a lot of things to do this coming week and I was also assigned to carry out some task.We prayed, we sang a little praise and worship, and we greeted each other after the meeting. I saw my colleague from work,he was sitting with his family and waved at me. After the meeting, some people stood outside to talk, but I was getting hungry, so Pato and I said goodbye and went home.

By 8 p.m., I was back home and ready for dinner. I didn't finish the food I bought from the restaurant earlier today,I put it in my fridge. I brought it out and warmed the soup again and also made garri. ![Uploading image #1...]()

I sat outside under the shade to eat because it was quiet there.. While eating, I looked at the trees waving left and right cause of the wind, It felt good to see that.

After dinner I felt sleepy and happy. I rested my head on my pillow, thinking about how simple days like this are important. No big events, no stress. Just washing, praying, and eating with peace.That was how my day went. Laundry in the morning, church in the evening, and dinner after. Simple, but it made me feel ready for the week ahead.
