When you come to Guilin in winter, it’s literally like a dream spot on earth—super few crowds, scenery that’s off the charts beautiful! We hit Xiangong Mountain for the sunrise 🌅, checked out the “Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains” vibe, saw the 500-year-old Fuli Bridge with its mirror-like reflection 🌉, went bamboo rafting on Yulong River (the dam rush was so fun! 🛶), and stuffed ourselves with all the good stuff—especially Master Chef’s Gold Medal Beer Fish! 🏞️ Now I totally get why ancient people were obsessed with wandering mountains and waters~

You’ll definitely regret it if you skip these spots in Guilin👇
📸 Must-snap photo spots:
❶ Xiangong Mountain Observation Deck & Halfway Café—sunrise + sea of clouds? Chef’s kiss 🌅
❷ 500-year-old Fuli Bridge—the reflection looks straight out of a painting 🌉
❸ Yulong River bamboo rafting—the dam rush is such a blast! 🛶
❹ West Street’s “Yangshuo” landmark & Guilin East-West Alley’s “Guilin” wall—grab your iconic photos here!
❺ Elephant Trunk Hill, Sun-Moon Twin Towers, Guihai Qinglan—all the classic bangers in one go!

😋 Local eats:
C’mon, you can’t go to Yangshuo and not eat the local food! Tons of unique snacks here, mostly from little street stalls. Hit up Fuli Market—try the sticky rice, cool herbal dessert, osmanthus cake, water chestnut cake, cassava sweet soup, sponge cake… you name it!

【Master Chef Gold Medal Beer Fish】This place is hands down Yangshuo’s food MVP! Their signature sour soup beer fish? Insane. The sour soup is rich, tangy-spicy, and the fish is fresh and huge—our whole table was fighting over the soup to pour over rice! Yangshuo snail-stuffed pork is a must-order: plump, chewy snail meat mixed with pork filling, suck the soup, pop it in—you can’t stop at one! We also tried bamboo tube chicken soup—light, sweet, and so comforting with one sip!

Guilin isn’t just about the mountains and water—you’ve gotta eat all the real local flavors too! Great views + bomb food = this trip was 100% perfect ❤️
