For

  1. The male children are the once to carry on the family legacy. In many of our culture the female are not considered when thinking of the family legacy. For they are considered sold to their husbands.
  2. Since the fwmale children are sold to their husbands in marriage only the male stay in the family for ever so male children are better than female.
