SVM Testnet Update: 250K+ Blocks Reached and Upcoming SVM App Release

Following up on my previous update regarding our 236,000 block milestone, I am pleased to report that the Steem Virtual Machine (SVM) testnet continues to operate with exceptional stability and consistent growth.
We have just crossed another major threshold, and I am excited to share a preview of what is coming next for the SVM ecosystem.
Network Health and Current Metrics
The SVM testnet is running flawlessly. The underlying consensus mechanism, combined with the hardened security patches and optimized oracle clients from the v0.0.4.x cycle, is processing transactions with optimal efficiency.
Current Testnet Statistics:
- Total Blocks Produced: 250,000+
- Total Transactions: 10,957
- Average Block Time: ~5.5 seconds
- Active Validators: 11 / 12
Crossing the 250,000 block mark is a significant testament to the resilience of the network and the reliability of the infrastructure we have built together.
Major Announcement: New SVM App Rolling Out Soon
With the core blockchain infrastructure now fully stabilized and operating at peak performance, our focus is shifting toward user experience and accessibility.
I am currently putting the final touches on a brand new SVM App, which will be rolled out in the coming days.
This new application is designed to:
- Streamline User Interaction: Provide a clean, intuitive interface for connecting wallets and interacting with the SVM network.
- Enhance Developer Testing: Offer better tools for monitoring contract deployments and transaction states on the testnet.
- Prepare for Sherpa Protocol: Lay the foundational UI/UX groundwork for the upcoming native DeFi capabilities, trading, and liquidity features we have been developing.
This app represents a major step forward in making the Steem Virtual Machine accessible not just to node operators and developers, but to the broader STEEM community. I will share the official launch date and access links very soon.
Validator Status and Network Resilience
We are currently operating with 11 out of 12 validators actively participating in consensus and oracle duties.
The network remains highly resilient and continues to produce blocks without interruption. The automated update workflows and state-sync recovery processes we implemented are proving highly effective, ensuring that the active set remains robust and capable of handling the network's continuous operation.
