Using Steem Keychain to Trade on SteemDex via Phone

Hello Steemians. Can the Steem Keychain extension be used only on PC? Is it not possible to use it on a phone? The answer is: of course it is possible.

In the past few weeks, we had been working on fixing some more minor issues and bugs, specifically swap related issues. We have cleaned database and started afresh, if you were an existing user, please sign-up/login again to access SteemDEX.

On SteemDex.com, you can do spot trading and swaps by logging in either with your email or through Steem Keychain. The problem is that popular browsers like Google Chrome and Mozilla on phones do not allow any kind of extension. Steemfy will show you the solution today.

First, go to this link and install the Kiwi Browser from Google Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kiwibrowser.browser

This app has been downloaded 10M times and has a very good rating. After installing, set up the browser according to your preference. Next is the turn to add the Steem Keychain extension. Let’s see how to add it.

First, click the three dots at the top of the browser. A popup window will appear. There you will see an option called Extensions. Click on it, and it will take you to the extension store.

Now click on the (+From Store) option. This will take you to the Chrome extension store. In the search box, type Steem Keychain. The desired Steem Keychain extension will appear.

Click on this extension and inside you will see the Add to Chrome option. Click it. Done! The extension will be added to your browser’s extension list.

Now to set up your Steemit ID in the extension, again click the three dots on the right. At the very bottom of the popup window, you will see the newly added Steem Keychain.

Open it and set a new password. Then a new interface will appear. Here, submit the private key of the Steemit account you want to set in the extension. If you want to add more keys, go to Accounts → Manage Accounts → Add Account inside the Keychain. After submitting the key, your setup is complete.

Now go to SteemDex.com, click the Connect button, and select Login with Keychain. Enter your Steemit ID, and click Login with Keychain. A popup window from Keychain will appear asking for access confirmation. Confirm it, and your Steemit ID will be connected.

Every trade will now ask for permission from Keychain. You can easily do spot trades, convert Steem/SBD, and swap tokens securely without any hassle.
