Engineer Henry Electronic Repairs Shop

On Tuesday I visited Engineer Henry's Electronic Repairs shop located along Keffi-Abuja and Jos road. The shop is closer to the market and it is the busiest electronic repair shop that is located along the market road.

Engineer Henry is into the repair of electronic items such as; ceiling fan, standing fans, refrigerator, air-conditioning, electro iron, stabiliser and any kind of electronic items.

Engineer Henry's electronic shop is a small shop that is constructed with zinc which in Nigeria we usually call such a type of small shop a small corner or kiosk shop. Engineer Henry usually comes to the shop every day except on Sundays to work on people's electronic items.

Inside the shop is filled with a variety of scrap electronics and functioning electronics. Also, outside of the shop there are standing fans, refrigerators, and air-conditioning that are kept outside. Most of them have already been repaired which their waiting to be collected by their owners.

Engineer Henry has three boys who are working for him and at the same time the boys are learning work. At the time I visited the shop, I met engineer Henry servicing a small standing air-conditioning system that he was running on his generator, and I tested if the air-conditioning was working properly.

After testing the air-conditioning he then kept it inside the shop waiting for the owner to come and pick it up. Before engineer Henry can work on a client's electronic items, the client must have made a part payment before he can commence work and he doesn't charge much which he worked on my standing fans that have coils. He changed the entire copper coils for ₦10,000 which is equivalent to 130 STEEM.

The environment of the shop is good but noisy due to the traffic and since it is on a busy highway it is kind of risky because if a vehicle should lose control it might affect the shop. However, the shop is a bit conducive.
