Yesterday I had leave from office so I thought it would be better to go out somewhere in the evening instead of sitting at home. All the family members also said that they had not gone out for a long time, so suddenly it was decided that they would have dinner outside today. At first I didn't understand where to go, then I remembered that a few days ago someone was praising the real Ahmadavadi Tawa Fry. Just finalized that.

Left around 7:30. There was light traffic on the road, but the weather was fine so the journey was pleasant. As soon as we reached there, smells started coming from outside – spices, butter, and the sounds of the pan. The atmosphere inside was very different, as if there was a touch of old Ahmadism. The decoration was simple but the real fun was in the food.

After sitting down, I looked at the menu and got a little confused, everything looked tempting. Finally ordered Tawa Paneer Fry, Butter Paratha, Masala Buttermilk and Aloo Tikki for kids. When the food arrived, the hunger doubled just by the smell alone. After taking one bite, it felt as if all the tiredness went away. The taste of the spices was in perfect balance, neither too spicy nor bland.

Son Uvesh was having a lot of fun, saying again and again, “Papa, this is very tasty, we will come here again”. My wife was also smiling and said, “It is difficult to get such taste at home.” The rest of the people sitting there were also having a lot of fun, some were taking photos, some were feeding the children, and there was a slight glow in the atmosphere.

After dinner we had kulfi outside – with cream and saffron. I was remembering the aroma of hot pan with cold kulfi. Everyone was silent while returning slowly, perhaps everyone was feeling that evening in their own way.

When we reached home, mother asked, “How was the food?” So he just said – “The company was better than the taste.” Sometimes these small moments in life are remembered more than the big occasions. Yesterday evening was also similar – without any major preparation, but touching the heart.
