"Prove yourself as the best artist for the week".

Greetings, my friends. I hope you are all fine as I am. I am happy to participate in this week's contest "Prove yourself as the best artist for the week". I hope you will like my drawing.

What I drew today is the face of a lady. She has long hair. She put on eyelashes with her eyes closed as though she were meditating.

Materials for the drawing

• White embossed paper
• 10B pencil
• 5B pencil
• 2B pencil
• HB pencil
• Eraser
• Razor blade

Step 1
I sketched the face of the lady. I drew the line at the forehead, the cheek, the lower jaw, and the ear using an HB pencil.

Step 2
I sketched the hair on her head, her nose, mouth and her eye. I also sketched the big braid on her head.

Step 3
I drew her second eye and shaded her eyebrow. I also completed her nose, shaded the nostril, and lastly, at this step, I completed her mouth.

Step 4
I shaded the hair on her head, the earring she put on and one of her eyes. I used a 5B and a 2B pencil.

Step 5
I shaded the second eye. Here, I shaded her eyebrow, eyelashes and the surrounding.

Step 6
I shaded her entire face, her mouth, her ear and her neck using a 2B pencil and I also blended it using a brush. I also thicken the shading of the hair on her head.

✅ How long did it take to complete your drawing and how do you feel about it?

This drawing took me an hour with some minutes to complete it. I didn't see this as a waste of time because my aim was achieved and I am very happy for that.

Drawing is my hobby. I love doing it not only for this contest. What inspired me to make this drawing is the absolute quietness and the mood of meditation maintained by the lady.
