Contest 43 | My favorite outfit this week..
Hi my people!
What’s Your Favorite Outfit This Week? Describe It by Sharing Its Photos. |
|---|
My favorite outfit this week is a semi-casual, semi-important traditional dress commonly worn by the Hausa people in the northern part of Nigeria.
In Describing my outfit;
I am wearing a green long kaftan with matching trousers underneath. The green color I chose reflects nature with a subtle dim bright light, symbolizing warmth and calmness, which cools down the mind when viewed. The cap is black, and I am also wearing black sunglasses and some black sets of beaded bangles to complement the look.
And in its Design,
The kaftan features white monogram designs on the chest, pockets, wrist area, and the lower part of the kaftan, adding elegance and intricate detail to the outfit. On my feet, I have black shoes that perfectly match the kaftan and cap.
Why Do You Like This Outfit? |
|---|
I like this outfit because it speaks of dignity and respect. It is not overly casual, which is important in my environment where people value decency and God-fearing behavior. Wearing this outfit makes me feel confident and respectable. If I were to meet with an official personality wearing this, I believe he would appreciate meeting a decent and well-presented man.
Where Did You Get This Outfit? Tell Me About the Location. |
|---|
I got this outfit from Oscar T’s Concept, a designing shop near the market. This shop is located in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, specifically in Abak Local Government Area. The market is called Urua Abak, and the shop is on Mkpoporo Street.
I bought the material from the shop and instructed them on how to sew the kaftan. It is easy to get such a dress in this area because it's affordable in local tailoring shops around.
