Prove yourself as the best artist for the week

Hello steemians

Greetings to you moderators of this contest and fellow steemians whom have made a way to participate in this contest as well....and I hope to learn from you ways to improve on my art as well.

Yet again I'm here to share another sketch of mine which I made and I hope you find it pleasing.....today I would be sharing a sketch of my former course representative who led the students of electrical/electronics engineering since my ND days .... He is such a nice person as well as a leader.

MATERIALS

Pencil
Eraser
Sharpener
Paper.

PROCEDURE

STEP1:

First I started by drawing by drawing the outline of the frame of sun shade glasses that he wore.....first by drawing the some irregular curves, then I drew the ear in which the frame casing of the sun shade would rest on, then from the where the frame rested I drew a curved line downwards then add a straight line to it so as to make the head, I also did the same thing to the other side of make the face structure come out.....but I wasn't done I had to draw his nose...which looks like that of super-mario😂....then I drew his lips which would make his mouth.

STEP2:

Then after finishing the first part, this was were the job got a little bit tougher, I drew the back side of his cap, then I drew the cap he wore.....making sure the cap outline very well as in the original photo, then I drew few lines on his neck to show that he had added weight....after which I drew the collar of the cloth he wore in-between the sash he wore like a garment over his cloth, then I drew the folded part on the sash....

STEP3:

Then the last part which is usually a a bit harder trying to make sure the colors are ok with the drawing.....so I used my pencil(2b,) to color it and make sure the realistic image was great.

Though I don't have the colors to make it look as nice as the original though...

Well I'm grateful for this platform for allowing me to share part of what makes me happy ....
