Prove yourself as the best artist for the week

I am very happy to be participating in this beautiful art competition this week. I have seen and loved drawing and sketching since childhood. Art is a skill that quietly captures human feelings on paper. Based on this hobby I made a creative drawing this week, which I am presenting here in full detail.

What did I draw?

I made a drawing of a small dragon wrapped in a leaf. This drawing shows innocence, protection and the beauty of nature. An attempt has been made to show curiosity in the dragon's eyes and softness in the face so that the viewer can relate to it.

Steps to make a drawing (Step by Step)

Before I started picturing I clearly authored @taaher1 and the date22-01-2026 on my paper.

First I pictured the figure of the dragon's head with a light angle on white paper.

In the another step, the form of the ears, eyes and mouth was fined.

Then I drew the long and curved line of the leaf with the dragon wrapped around it.

Then added details to the eyes, small dots on the face and skin texture.

In the next step I started shading, first light then deep shading to create depth.

Finally disemboweled up the all delineation and wiped out unessential lines.

How long did it take and how did it feel?

This sketch took around 2 to 3 hours to finalize. When the delineation was finished, there was a fantastic relief to the heart. It felt like the hardy work had recompensed off.

Inspiration

I got the inspiration for this drawing from animated films and fantasy stories, where dragons are shown to be powerful as well as innocent.
