Welcome to my blog.
Today I will be showing you the step by step process of how I drew my beautiful penguin. Before I begin, I would like to briefly describe the bird.

Penguin

Lets briefly talk about this bird.

Penguins can be described as flightless birds with distinctive walk. They live in cold climate areas and are very good in swimming. The two wings-likes things here are called flippers and that is what they used in swimming.
Penguins eat krill, fish and squid that is why they can be described as being carnivorous. Penguins are very cute in nature.

Follow along as I drew this little bird of mine.

Material needed

Plain sheet of paper
Pencil
Eraser
Coloured pens

Step 1

Here I gather all the needed materials for the drawing in one place and after that I wrote my username and today's date at the left hand corner of the paper before I begin the drawing.

Step 2

This is when I started creating the shape of the penguin. I started by drawing two uneven ball shape and then erase of the middle to leave it open and then carefully join them together.

Step 3

When I was done with the first creation of the shape up and down. I included the flippers, the legs, the eyes as well as nose it is seen in the picture above.
At this point, it started having some shapes, making sense a bit.

Step 4

Going fuether, I included the balls 👀 and also included the mouth with some shades.

Step 5

In this step, I darken the eye 👀 and make it looks more real. And at this point, you can see the distinct pupils after darkening the eyeballs.

Step 6

Here, I created another shape from the flippers and looking at the head I worked on it by adding some lines that connects to the flippers area.
I added more lives to the drawing and at this point I was done with the drawing.

Step 7

1000191228.jpg
This is a point where I started adding colours to the drawing. I started with black colour.
Started from the head, down to some part of the body I wanted to apply colour to which was eyes and others.
When I was done with the black colour, I used orange colour to colour the nose and some part of the mouth while leaving some area of the mouth.
I also used the orange colour for the legs which makes it go the nose as some part of the mouth.

Step 8

I left the flippers when I was colouring the other part black and that was because I was still thinking of the colour that I will used there. But I after much thought, I remembered that penguin are mostly black and white so I decided to colour it black and to avoid too many colours.

This is the final look of my beautiful penguin.
I was really impressed with the outcome.

I am so impressed with my little but beautiful penguin.

I got the inspiration of this penguin from one of the cover of the exercise books I sold to a customer this morning in the shop.
Some exercise books cover has drawing of penguin and after looking at it and discovering the fact that it may not take too much of my time since I am also very busy in the shop.

It took my an hour and thirty minutes to complete the drawing excluding the time I used in writing this post.

Hope you like my penguin.
I am inviting @manuelhooks, @mesola and @chant to participate in this contest.
