The golden sun shone, lighting up the rows of yellow and green coloured school blocks with their tidy red roofs. The courtyard was surrounded by tall coconut and shade trees which made the environment cooler and more tranquil. All students had converged on the field for the flag ceremony.

The boys wore black peci (traditional Islamic caps), and the girls wore white hijabs which complemented their uniforms. Neatly aligned rows upon rows were facing a flagpole in the middle of the field that rose majestically. At the front, student, the ceremony leader, stood in perfect posture. Crossing his chest fluttered a red and white sash that represented the enormous burden he was carrying.

It was a solemn mood with all the actors getting ready. The teachers were standing at the side looking on with interest and pride. They were smiling at their students’ orderly and combined performance. "Wonderful," they whispered. "A soft wind was blowing, and it was fans that made the red and white banner twist slightly in the wind at the top of the flagpole."

When the ceremony started, every student was standing up straight and attentive. No turmoil was in the air, only quiet and reverent respect for the moment. The kids performed everything with enthusiasm, showing that they had been taught how to be accountable and follow the guidelines. It was not a simple routine for this time, but it was also a way to inculcate the national values Disci1ineditory in early childhood.

After the raising of the flag, the air turned warmer. There were many happy faces among the prospective students. They were satisfied they had done well in their obligations.
