Kantjiu Rash Mela.

The Ras Mela on the grounds of the Kantjiu Temple in Dinajpur is a part of a very old history. Every year at the beginning of winter, a fair is held here for a long time, more than a month. The fair is inaugurated with a puja and continues for a month. It is one of the largest fairs in North Bengal. This fair in Dinajpur is held every year continuously and this fair creates a festival in this place in Dinajpur. For this fair, various traders from different parts of the country bring their shops for a month. The maximum number of shops here are for cosmetics items.

Various circus rides and Nagardola motorcycle games, including various spectacular things, come to the fair. All the eager people gather in large numbers. This time too, everything is going on very well at the fair. The fair has a boat swing, which is very exciting and the music is playing along with the swing, which makes the people in the boat even more happy. Next to it is a nagardola that runs with the help of an engine, although not every room of the nagardola is full, they are running it with a few people. There is a motorcycle game at the fair, although it was closed when we visited. There are various rides for children at the fair, which entertain the children a lot.

The most popular attraction at the fair is bursting balloons with this gun. Here you have to pay 20 taka for every 10 fires. There were 4 of us and we spent a lot of money here in a blink of an eye. Also, another attraction is boxing, although I got hurt by it. 20 taka for each boxing.

Most of the shops at the fair were cosmetics, as well as children's toys and hobby shops. I went back to my childhood for a while. The analog cars and clay toys I played with in my childhood are still here.

Another interesting part of the fair is the food stalls where traders sit with various types of food. The hotels have arranged various foods in an attractive way. They sit with various delicious foods and spread this food with more oil and spices. We ended the fair with delicious pickles. There were many pickle shops selling various items of pickles.
