Today is the second day of our corn irrigation. Today we will start the machine earlier than the last day because today we kept all the pipes and other equipment in the corn field and left only the machine in a neighboring house. Two of us came from home, brought the machine from the neighboring house, set it up and started it. The workers had not yet come, I started the irrigation work alone. Due to the winter, the corn leaves are frozen and my clothes are wet. I am drying my clothes outside in the sun with a water line in the corn field.
Meanwhile, the workers are coming. I went to the machine and changed the water in the water tank of the machine and also put oil in the oil tank. We will run the machine until the evening today as well.
I went to the shop next door and I came back without eating in the morning. I need to eat something. I brought biscuits from the shop. We both shared it and ate it. I quenched my thirst by drinking water from the pipe in the corn field. The water was cold and clear. I washed my hands and face with water. Today, we will also fertilize our land after irrigation.
I sent the worker home to bring fertilizer. Today, I will do the work of watering and fertilizing together. I will fertilize one bed after watering it so that the two tasks are done together. It will not be evening and later the pressure will be low and the fertilizer will melt with the water and mix with the soil. As for the work, he brings fertilizer from home and fertilizes the irrigated land. I am doing the irrigation work.
We irrigated a lot of land until noon and while we were still going, the sun was getting hotter and we were tired, sitting next to the field and taking it easy. The worker brother spread the fertilizer sacks next to him and stretched out his tired body and fell asleep. I finished my water and arranged some pipes. In the meantime, my brother came. We returned home for lunch and had lunch.
A person next to my house has raised his yard with new soil and is using a bullock cart to level it. However, before putting the ladder, he leveled the ground and watered it. As a result of pulling the bullock cart, the soil has become even and firm. This is an ancient method of leveling the soil.
We came back again and started our work. We continued working until the afternoon. Since we could not finish today, we stopped the machine before evening and, like the previous day, left the rest of the equipment except the machine in the corn field and returned home with only the machine in the house next door. We were tired from the scorching sun all day. I took a bath, ate food, lay down in the evening and fell asleep.
