SLC27-W2 // "Desserts From Milk"

Today I am here to participate in the 2nd week of Steemit Learning Challenge Season 27 (SLC27-W2) prompt about "Desserts from Milk" organized by @suboohi. This week’s theme is especially exciting because milk-based sweets are not just incredibly tasty; they’re full of nutrients and cultural relevance. I look forward to writing all about this sweet subject today and I hope that you all enjoy my essay as much as I enjoyed writing it.
Yes I love the milk based sweet immensely! Not only are they rich and creamy, they taste so good it’s hard to stop. I also make quite a few milk sweets at home. I've always loved milk pudding for its creamy, ethereal texture, and payesh (rice pudding), a classic sweet dish I like to prepare on auspicious occasions. I also like strawberry yogurt or plain, and some sweet dishes of course- rasgulla, sandesh, gulab jamun are few. They are all so good and each one has its own special little something that calls up the warmth of sweet treat time with loved ones.
Milk Green Coconut Layer Pudding — my favorite
Today I am posting my all time favorite dessert recipe –milk and green coconut layer pudding. So let’s begin this dish
Ingredients i used

✅Green coconut water
✅Green coconut flesh (chopped) -about half for the base layer and half for blending
✅Sugar
✅Agar–agar powder
✅Milk
Make the Coconut Water Layer
In one pot I poured the coconut water and then in tasted and added sugar to taste. I added a bit of agar agar powder next, and stirred until dissolved thoroughly. I’d push the pan back onto the stove and leave it there, stirring constantly

Add the Coconut and Sprinkle with First Layer
I used the time to take a dish and put shredded pieces of coconut flesh on its bottom. As the coconut water mixture began boiling nicely, I switched off the stove and using a spoon, very slowly, poured the hot mixture over the pieces of coconut. Then I let it cool a bit and put it aside at room temperature to set. This was my first layer of pudding — the green coconut.

Make the Milk Layer
Then, I started on the milk layer. I put two mugs of milk along with a glass each of green coconut flesh, sugar and agar agar powder. Puree everything until it is smooth and creamy.

Cook the Milk Mixture
I could transfer the blended milk to a pan and switch on my stove! I kept stirring it while heating I turned off the flame once the mix began to boil and thickened a little.

Add the Milk Layer Over the Coconut Layer
So when my milk mixture was done, I delicately poured it over that winding wriggling moat and the first layer of pudding, having hardened its defenses. I poured it gently so that the 2 layers remain distinct and have a good appearance after setting.
Let It Cool and Set
Once I layered both the steps on top of each other, I placed the pudding dish in my fridge to chill for a little bit. As it cooled I checked the jelly – it was set, with a bright green coconut layer and milky-looking liquid on top.

Serve and Enjoy
well I must have eventually I did take it out of the refrigerator and cut pieces off. The pudding was stunning, and surprisingly tasty — soft, silky, tasting unadorned of young coconut and milk.

No, I did not face any issues while preparing this dessert. It was so easy . With all simple ingredients and steps, it went well. I had to ensure that I would stir while boiling both layers and keep the stirring up so that agar–agar mixed well with it and there were no lumps. Other than that, it came out perfectly, and set up lovely in my fridge. It was fun and rewarding to assemble my favourite milk green coconut layer pudding.
I would love to make this so simple milk green coconut layer pudding for special days like family get together, birthday party, wedding anniversary or on festive days too like EID.I love to serve my handmade deserts when our family or a few friends gather for something special, so I can share the love with food. This dessert is great for holidays — it’s when we do our little festivities for Eid and have some delicious food.
