Today I will share my shopping from our local market for my nephew's 40-day aqeeqah ceremony.

Today the market I will share with you is our Bhulta Gauchia Golakandail Hat in Rupganj, Narayanganj. This market is held from Thursday morning to night, and here you can find nothing that is not part of the daily life of people. First, after I went to the market, you could see a lot of people; many things were busy shopping, and here you could see some iron things being sold.

Then after walking for a while, you can see that lungis are being sold here. In this market, lungis are sold wholesale from many places in Madhabdi, Shekherchar and Narsingdi, and people sell them from here at a very low price and keep them for their own use. After a while you will see that sweets are sold here; sweets are sold here for only 170 to 150 taka, and in other places sweets are sold for 200, 250, or 300 taka.

Now you can see that biscuits, chocolates, juices, and many things from grocery stores are sold here, and many people buy these wholesale from here and take them to their stores and sell them retail. Then here you can see some foods made with flour and sweets which are very popular with children, and these are sold at a price of 140 taka.

Then, to avoid wasting time, we went to the spice shop. We need to buy spices for a party of 40 people. You can see that the shopkeeper is sitting in the spice shop; he has all kinds of spices here, and I told him that I will cook biryani and to give spices according to the 40 people. Then he made a list and started giving me the spices.

After knowing the spices, we went to buy beef at 700 taka per kg of beef. We bought 8.5 kg of beef for 5950 taka. Then we went to the ginger, garlic and onion shop from there and bought ginger, garlic and onion for 500 taka.

Then, to make salad with biryani, we bought lemon, green chilli, carrot, and raw vegetables for 500 taka. Then we went home with all the products. Here you can see in the picture. We have combined the markets here, and together we spent 10 thousand taka. Beef, raw vegetables and beef, rice and oil cost about 12 thousand taka.
