The diary game. Balancing Official Transitions, Family Responsibilities, and the Journey Back Home
Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.
Now we are done with the official work that I was deputed for at the district headquarters, and we will be relieved in just a few days. Most probably, I might leave on the 15th of this month, and before I join my original place of posting again, I need to finish all the pending tasks. For that reason, I took an off from office today and had to accompany my dad to one of our paternal aunt’s houses, where her father, who is quite old now, has been facing some health issues. We had to go there to enquire about his health.
For that reason, I was quick to wake up very early in the morning. I started my day by offering the morning prayers, and after finishing them, I returned home and helped my mom with her kitchen chores. I helped clean the pulses that she had to cook for dinner. After having my breakfast, I again assisted her with the remaining morning chores. Once everything was done, I went to my room and read a few chapters of Indian polity.
Meanwhile, my mom came and called me to leave early, so I took a shower to refresh myself. I then got into the car and turned the engine on for some time to let it warm up. It was only then that I came to know that I also had to carry my brother and sister-in-law to a clinic that fell on the way to the patient’s house. We set off around 1 PM. While we were on our way, we lost our direction, but I was quick to recover by enquiring about the way. Throughout the journey, I couldn’t find anything familiar, and only after enquiring did I realise that we were on the wrong route and had to return back. Anyways, we were able to reach there in time.
We reached around 2 PM, and they gave us a very warm welcome. We spent some good time with them, and around 5 PM, we left and set off towards our home. Travelling through that area is always interesting because large portions of land have been excavated to construct the railway line and highways. Huge tracts of land have been vertically cut, which feels quite unique to witness. The people living in these areas are quite peaceful, loving, and hospitable.
Later, we returned home and reached around 6 PM. After reaching home, I felt that I had developed a headache, so I had a cup of tea, which gave me some relief. I then sat with other members of my family, watching TV and the cricket match. After having dinner, I went to sleep around 12:30 AM, which was quite late, but I couldn’t help it as I had some things to do later in the day. I hadn’t gone through social media the whole day, and it was important for me to know what was happening around.
Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
