We had a wonderful day today, filled with immense joy. Our primary reason for leaving home was to enjoy a swim in the river.

After leaving home, we all gathered together and prepared for our trip to the river. Once we finished taking some photos, we set off. Interestingly, I was the eldest among the group, while everyone else was younger than me .

The river is located quite a distance from our house, so we had to cross the highway to get there; we made sure to cross safely by carefully looking both ways.

After walking a bit further, the river finally came into view. It was so breathtakingly beautiful that words could hardly do it justice. Although the water level is low at this time of year, causing the river to be covered in water hyacinths, it still looked absolutely stunning.

The low water level of the river instantly reminded us of a famous poem: Our little river flows in bends and curves, in the month of Baishakh, it has only knee-deep water.
Coincidentally, it was indeed a day in the month of Baishakh.

Eventually, we reached our destination. There, we spotted some native ducks that had likely come to the river in search of food, and perhaps they even managed to have a hearty meal.

However, today we encountered some creatures that are not commonly seen.

The creature is known as a pig. While it may not be very aesthetically pleasing, its meat is a significant source of protein. However, it should be noted that for Muslims, consuming this animal is strictly prohibited.

Finally, we were all set to enter the river. We brought along a football and a car inner tube to help us float, which could comfortably support three to four people on the water.

Many of the others had already jumped in before me. When I finally entered the water, I found it to be incredibly cold.

Even though the river water was cold, it was remarkably clear—so much so that everything beneath the surface was plainly visible.

Due to the freezing temperature of the water, we didn't stay long. We finished our bath as quickly as possible and stepped out; shortly after, we all began preparing for our journey back home.

Before heading back, we captured a few photographs, including some of the local flowers and ourselves, and then made our way home without a second thought.

As the sun began to set, we left the river behind, but we carried its tranquility and the laughter of our togetherness with us. Looking back, it wasn't just a simple trip to bathe in the river; it was a brief escape into nature’s lap, where a low-tide river, a few native ducks, and a timeless poem reminded us of the simple joys of life. These are the moments that turn into cherished memories—reminding us that beauty doesn't always need to be grand; sometimes, it’s just found in the clear, cold water of a winding river.

Thank you for your kind attention and for patiently reading through my story.
