Agargaon Metro Rail Station, Dhaka

Traffic congestion in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, is a big problem. In order to reduce traffic congestion in the capital, Dhaka, the Bangladesh government started the work of launching the metro rail from Agargaon to Uttara in 2013. Later, the metro rail was extended from Agargaon station to Motijheel. Today, I have reviewed the Agargaon metro rail station using Steem-atlas pin code.

There are entrances on both sides of the road to enter the Agargaon Metrorail Station. The Metrorail Station is three-storeyed, so you have to go from the bottom to the second floor to buy tickets. To go to the second floor, the Metrorail Station has pedestrian stairs, escalators, and elevators. I entered the Agargaon Metrorail Station on foot. The Metrorail Station is more crowded in the afternoon because the office is closed. There is a large crowd at the ticket counter. There is a facility to buy tickets at the Metrorail Station online and offline.

I stand in line to buy a ticket from the ticket counter to go from Agargaon station to Motijheel station. I bought a ticket at the Metrorail station by paying offline. The station has the facility to buy tickets online with some bank cards. I first go to the MetroRail station and check the ticket price list from Agargaon to Motijheel. It will take fifteen minutes to reach Motijheel station by the metro rail.

There are ATM booths of several banks at Agargaon Metrorail Station. In addition, there are CCTV cameras and law enforcement officers at the Metrorail Station for security. There is a separate compartment for women in the Metrorail at Agargaon Metrorail Station. There is a medical room for passengers to receive first aid. Agargaon Metrorail Station is very clean. You have to buy a Metrorail ticket on the second floor and go up the stairs to the third floor.

On the third floor, passengers wait for the train by standing in a queue. Traveling by metro takes very little time, so passengers stand while traveling by metro. You have to enter the metro station with a ticket and scan the code online, and you have to submit the card again when leaving the station. Starting from the fire extinguishing system at Agargaon Metro Station, the electrical sub-stations are very beautifully arranged.

Station Security Force

Dhaka Match Transit Company is the controlling body of Metrorail. In addition, Metrorail has been launched in Bangladesh with the funding of the Japanese company JICA. The instructions for traveling by Metrorail are given very nicely at Agargaon Metrorail Station. For new Metrorail travelers like me, the instructions play a very important role.
