Goals and the Invisible Enemy Around

I hope everyone is well. I didn't sit down to write anything big today. I just had one thing on my mind, so I thought I'd write it down.

We all want something in life. Some want to grow up, some want to be wealthy, and some just want to live with respect. I also have some goals. But sometimes I ask myself. Am I really working towards that goal, or am I just thinking about doing it?

A line has been ringing in my head for a long time,
“Whatever you focus on other than your goal is your enemy.”

I didn't like hearing that at first. I thought, why is it so difficult? But gradually I realized that it's not completely wrong.

Suppose I decided to finish an important task today. But before starting work, I thought, let's check my phone. Just five minutes. Then another video. Then another notification. Suddenly, I see that almost an hour has passed. I haven't even started the task yet.

Who took this time? No one came and forced me to give them the phone. I gave it to them myself. And this is how small things can cause big damage without me knowing.

An enemy is not someone who wants to harm me. Many times, the enemy is my own habits. Being late. Being unnecessarily busy. Spending time on things that were not needed right now. These are very normal from the outside. But inside, they push the goal away.

I am not saying that all joy should be eliminated from life. No, that is not possible. People are people. But there needs to be a limit. If joy eats up the goal, then there is a problem.

I have been trying for some time, at least to keep the phone away during important work. I can't always. Sometimes I lose. But I am trying. Because I have understood one thing. If my dream is not important to me, then no one will.

Life actually goes by very quickly. It is better to suffer a little now than to regret it later. So from now on, I am trying to recognize the invisible enemies. They come very quietly. But they leave a big impact.
