Ekta Kutir Shilpa is a popular showpiece shop in Sylhet city. Where you will find different types of home decoration items and the specialty of this shop is that all the products here are made directly by the craftsmen themselves. The method of making them is included in the traditional cottage industry of Bangladesh.

As a shop, I saw all kinds of products that I liked the most. At first, I entered the store and then I saw different types of products. Which were divided into different sections inside the store. At the beginning, I saw some notable home decoration products that were arranged on top. Most of these products are made of bamboo and rattan.

There I saw a sofa set made of bamboo. I saw chairs made of small rattan. Which can be sat in and relatives can actually sit on the ground and talk. There I saw round mirrors made of rattan. Which will make the house look more beautiful.

Now I entered deeper into this shop where some more interesting products were kept. So after entering the shop, I saw some toys for small children that they feel comfortable keeping in their homes. Apart from that, I saw some notable products like kitchen decorations there which add more beauty when kept. There were various trophies made of wood, traditional symbols of the country, statues made of glass, small steel bicycles, bikes, private cars etc.

These were usually priced at 300-700 taka or 30-70 Steem. Apart from that, I saw small wooden plates and tea cups there which were the most attractive. The decoration inside the shop was very nice. There I saw comfortable wheel chairs made of rattan which move lightly and I can climb up and take a rest. These are usually priced at 2500-3000 taka or 250-300 Steem.

There were some employees inside the shop who always kept these products clean and tidy and when the customers came, they showed them the products politely. There were other products I saw there, among which were brass plates which are the most expensive products. These plates can be decorated at home.

Apart from that, I saw various jugs and trophies according to the symbol of Sylhet city. These are usually priced at 2500-3000 taka or 250-300 Steem. There were also other products inside the shop which were beautifully displayed. This shop sometimes gives discounts especially during special festivals. The words "Please don't touch, tell me" written in front of the product means that the employee will show you.
