A recipe for making delicious pitha, i.e. steamed pitha, for winter mornings or evenings.
- Rice powder
- Coconut
- Salt
- Date jaggery paste
Step 1
---
First I took two to three kg of boiled rice. That is, the rice with which we cook rice. And then I cleaned the rice very well with water. And then I brought the rice from the market to make guri with a machine.
Step 2
---
And then since it is winter. Date juice is available in the winter morning. And that juice is used to make jaggery. And from this date jaggery, patali is made. And we bought a very big size patali from the market. The weight of the patali is one kilogram 700 grams. And we broke the patali into small pieces.
Step 3
---
And then we got the sach for making bhapa pitha. And we put a big size patil in the clay oven. And then we put the sach for making pitha. And we mixed some flour and put it around so that it could not come from outside when we thought it was hot. And we took some coconuts in another patil.
Step 4
---
And then there are four small decorations for making bhapa pitha. And then we put a little amount of rice powder on the decoration. And then we put the patali of date jaggery in the middle. And then we put some old coconut. And then we put rice powder on top again. And in this way I completed four pithas.
Step 5
---
And then I took four sweetmeats. And I twisted them and put them in the shape of a steamed pitha. And then I steamed them well for seven to eight minutes with a griddle. And then I took the pithas one by one and took them on a plate.
Step 6
---
And then I broke one pitha from the middle to see if the pitha was cooked. And the pitha looked very beautiful and tasted very good. The color of jaggery in the middle of the pitha looks more beautiful.
