The Diary Game: A Peaceful Good Friday (3/4/2026)

I hope you all had a beautiful and fulfilling day. It’s the weekend and also a holiday, so I’m sure many of us are taking time to rest, reflect, and enjoy the calm that comes with it.
Today was quite special for me. I woke up with a heart full of gratitude it’s Good Friday, a day that always reminds me to pause, reflect, and appreciate the depth of God’s love. Before stepping into the activities of the day, I spent some quiet moments in prayer and reflection. Those few minutes of stillness really set a peaceful tone for everything that followed.
Afterward, I stepped outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.

There’s just something refreshing about the morning breeze it instantly lifts your mood. I also took a little walk around my compound to check on the plants. Honestly, my mum has been doing such an amazing job with them. Seeing how well they are growing made me appreciate her even more. It’s not easy nurturing life like that, and she does it with so much dedication and love.
I later went back inside and got busy with some light chores and general clean-up. You know how it is little tasks here and there, but they make the home feel more comfortable. After that, I prepared breakfast for my son. Watching him enjoy his meal always gives me this warm, satisfying feeling.

As the day progressed, I decided to step out to the market to get a few items. Since it’s a festive period, I thought it was wise to shop early and avoid the usual rush and crowd that comes with Saturdays. The market wasn’t too chaotic yet, so I was able to get what I needed without much stress.

On my way back home, I ran into a bit of traffic. But something happened that made the moment quite memorable. Because I was on a bike, I could see clearly as we moved slowly and then I spotted a group of Catholics observing the Stations of the Cross procession. The drama, the prayers, the deep expressions of faith it was truly moving. I literally felt goosebumps. It reminded me once again of the significance of the day and the sacrifice it represents. It was such a powerful and emotional sight.

When I finally got home, I went straight into the kitchen. I didn’t waste time because I could already feel hunger creeping in. Today’s menu was fried rice one of my favorites to make and eat! I started by washing and chopping my vegetables, getting everything ready. Cooking took about an hour, but it was totally worth it. The aroma alone was enough to make the wait feel longer than it actually was.

Finally, the food was ready, and I enjoyed a well-deserved meal. After eating, I relaxed with my family while watching TV. Moments like this gives me joy and tranquility.
All in all, it was a beautiful and meaningful day. A perfect blend of reflection, productivity, and family time.
