The Diary Game: My Saturday Recap (14/2/2026)
Happy weekend, my amazing Steemians!!
How did your Saturday go? Mine was one of those beautifully balanced days restful and productive
First of all⦠it was Saturday! š So yes, I gave myself full permission to sleep in. No alarms, no rushing just peaceful rest. After enjoying that sweet morning laziness (you know that feeling when your bed suddenly becomes the most comfortable place on earth?), reality hit me: my gas finished the previous night! And with a son who takes breakfast very seriously, I knew I had to act fast.

I quickly dressed up and headed to the gas shop. Honestly, I didnāt expect the owner to be there so early especially since it was Valentineās Day. I thought maybe heād be out celebrating love somewhere! But to my surprise, he was right there, open for business. I filled my cylinder and headed back home feeling relieved.
Once I got home, I sorted out some clothes for washing. Thankfully, there wasnāt much, so I finished quickly.

After that came one of my favorite parts of the day breakfast, I had bread, hot chocolate, and avocado pear. The pear? My absolute favorite. Thereās just something so satisfying about that creamy, fresh taste.

After eating, I rested for a bit before jumping into my next task fixing the curtains. And let me tell you, what I thought would be a quick job turned into a whole project! With the help of a carpenter, we finally got it done. It took time, but seeing everything neat and properly fixed made it worth it.

I freshened up and left for choir rehearsal. The rehearsal was beautiful! The song choices were uplifting, and everyone came with their best energy. Iām already excited for Sunday service because I know itās going to be amazing. After rehearsals, I spent some time chatting with friends before heading home.

Just when I thought my day was wrapping up⦠my mum reminded me we needed to make stew. Thankfully, I had already blended my tomatoes, pepper, garlic, and ginger earlier, so that saved me a lot of stress. I steamed my chicken and fish, fried the tomato mix (not too much because I donāt overcook my tomatoesāI like it fresh and flavorful), and in no time, the stew was ready. And yes, it turned out delicious as always!

After that, I prepared dinner, we ate, and I finally rested. What a full day! From lazy morning moments to cooking, chores, rehearsals, and family time it was productive yet peaceful.
No matter how busy it gets, Iām always grateful for the gift of a new day. š
How did your Saturday go? Did you rest, work, or do a little bit of both?

I spent my Saturday clearing away the snow that fell yesterday. And today, 20 cm of wet snow fell again. So I know how my Sunday will go.
