The Diary Game: How We Celebrated Easter(06/04/2026)

Hubby doesn’t like celebrating Easter because he sees it as a sober reflection of how Jesus lay his life on our behalf to give us hope and relationship with his father our God. I don’t celebrate it either but we try to make up something because of our kids. Hubby wasn’t around he went for quotation of Art design. He promise to get something to cook for the kids when coming back home. He got veggies, meat snacks and drinks for everyone. . I thought of cooking nigerian jollof rice I had to prepare everything first, I pour my fresh peppers inside the kitchen sink and wash my peppers and blend ,I wash my meat, season it and cook as well

I got everything ready to cook my nigerian jollof and my son who was sleeping earlier on but he wake up from sleep when I finish preparing my peppers and meat.I had to attend to him. When I’m done with him I feel sleepy as it was already noon. I slept off on the couch, I slept around 2:23pm and woke up 4:11pm and it’s was already late in the evening. I just couldn’t go with my initial plan. We ate meat and drink soda and malt.

I was relaxing and watching movies with everyone when I heard a knock on the door. I go check out and lo and behold, my twin and his family came to check up on me. I was happy, i feel the warmth and connected to my blood . They came with big cooler of rice.! It was jollof rice. I see why my body isn’t ready to prepare the jollof rice I had as planned initially. God knows how he does he’s things.! I gave them drink and I gave his son biscuits. I later served them meat and we chatted and watch movies together.

While we were all watching movies, I noticed the kids were not comfortable with the silence and I take them out to ride on my son tricycle outside. They took turn in riding as my daughter was pushing them with it, my son and my twin son riding on the tricycle. Not for long the atmosphere changed, there was a this heavy breeze and thick dark cloud. The weather changed, rain was about to fall. I quickly call my twin and wifey out to see the weather if they can still go or stay. They said they’ll go and hubby had to take them home with is bike.
