The Diary Game: Nail Session With My Neighbor And Taking Care Of My Family(15/03/2026)

I thought about going to church today but I was very tired and I stay back to rest, i had enough sleep and l wake up full of energy. I go out to spread my carpet grass rain fell on 3days ago and after spreading it, I take my broom to sweep little did I know that my next door neighbor as taken another broom behind and started sweeping from her end. She knew if she tries to collect the broom from me, I won’t allow her so she just go get another and I had yo leave it for her. As I’m about going back inside the house she ask ,if I’m free to help her fix her nails. I told her to let me know when she’s ready to get it done and she said, “as soon as I’m done with the sweeping”. I get to work immediately I go get my nails accessories out and I parked few of the perfumes I had and other ‘girly things out’.

I brought out nail accessories and wait for my neighbor to finish sweeping while I was waiting, I showed my other neighbors perfumes and other things I sell and they bought from me . My other neighbors (young married couples)bought perfume and scarf. The man bought perfume for himself and scarf for her wife. They bought things worth seven thousand naira. I gift both of them a touch perfume and I gift their daughter earring and hand bracelet for kids. They both appreciate it and assist me in packing after buying from me. I left in appreciation and excitement to go fix my next door neighbor waiting to get her nails done. We get to work, I started with her toe nail and after fixing, she picked pink cortex color to fix for her and I did. I move onto the next one, I file her finger nails and fix on and I pick a natural color and a pink color cortex for french tip.

After I fixings the nail, I carve her eyebrows and she love it, she told me she’ll be doing her birthday soon and she’ll like me to do makeup for her big day and she’ll have her pedicure done as well , I told her I am available anytime. She should let me know a week before her big day so I’ll keep in mind incase of any appointment I’ll be having, so I won’t forget and disappoint her. She pay for the service and i park my nail rack inside and the chairs we sat on. I took picture of her finger nail after packing the thing’s used inside, I couldn’t take pictures of her toe nail because her baby was crying and she had to go attend to him.

I went into the house and go prepare lunch for my family, it was noon already when we finish fixing my neighbors nails. I have vegetables and pepper in the kitchen and I get to prepare. I slice the vegetables into a pan and after slicing I grind my pepper on the grinding stone. I checked for locust beans and crayfish but I don’t have so I sent my daughter to go get for me. While I was waiting for her to come back with what I sent her to buy for me,I took a picture of the grinded pepper and slice vegetables.

While I was waiting for my daughter to get me the cooking items I sent her, I went to her room and met it untidy, I tidy it up, I started with the books and clothes on the chair. When I finish arranging them I packed them into their respective places and while I was almost finished with the room, she came back and met me coming out of her room, she’s sober already because she knew I’ll talk about it, I have always tell to keep her room clean always.

I shut the room door because I want to scold her first and I don’t want her in, I always tell her to keep it clean always. She apologized and promise to change. I open the room after we had a mother and daughter talk, as soon as I open she exclaimed “whaooo” shes comparing the room she left and the one she saw after I tidy it up for her. She kneel in appreciation as her father’s culture demands and I carry her up with her hug. I took the things I sent her from her and went straight to the kitchen to finish up my lunch preparation.
